Visum Recruitment has the pleasure of working with our client, a UK leading supplier who are on the lookout for a Health & Safety Maintenance Officer to join their growing team.

The role of the H&S Maintenance Officer will be to oversee our facilities' safety and upkeep, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

H&S Maintenance Officer Job Overview

Health & Safety Compliance

• Develop, implement, and manage H&S policies in line with legislation.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits.
• Organise and deliver health and safety training for employees.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and other relevant regulations.

Maintenance & Facilities Management

• Oversee the servicing and maintenance of warehouse machinery, including FLTs, roller shutter doors, and fire detection systems.
• Ensure all equipment and safety systems remain in good working order.
• Manage contractor relationships for specialist maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance schedules, and safety compliance.
• Work closely with operational teams to uphold a safe and efficient working environment.

H&S Maintenance Officer Job Requirements

• Experience in a health & safety or maintenance role, ideally within a warehouse, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
