The Role

As our Health and Safety Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation’s health and safety framework, ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and industry best practices. A critical part of this role involves overseeing asbestos management processes, risk assessments, and control procedures across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review HSE policies and procedures.
• Lead on asbestos management planning, audits, and control measures.
• Ensure compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant legislation.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety inspections.
• Deliver health and safety training across teams and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage internal/external audits.
• Provide expert advice to operational teams and senior management.

What We’re Looking For

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Proven experience in a senior HSE role.
• In-depth knowledge of UK H&S legislation, especially asbestos-related compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence (travel to multiple sites will be required).
