Job Description:

TJX Europe is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our Wakefield processing Centre team. The role involves coordinating and managing the environment, health, and safety functions across the distribution site, promoting best practices, and creating a safety-aware culture. Responsibilities include managing site SHE plans, ensuring compliance with legislation, delivering safety training, advising managers, managing accident reporting, overseeing waste management, and building relationships with local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership and compliance of site SHE plan
• Participation in health and safety committees
• Management of incident control and reporting
• Keeping up-to-date with legislation and best practices
• Leading safety training and induction programs
• Providing safety guidance to managers
• Promoting accident prevention and health promotion
• Managing accident/incident reporting procedures
• Ensuring statutory compliance and liaising with authorities
• Managing first aid facilities
• Reviewing risk assessments and implementing improvements
• Driving waste management best practices
• Building relationships with local environmental and safety authorities
• Partnering with operations to reduce sickness and promote health
