Cat Tech is recognized as a world leader in the provision of Catalyst Handling services for the refining, chemical, petrochemical, and processing industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Health and Safety Manager to join our team in the UK. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from catalyst handling, industrial services, or high-hazard environments such as refining or petrochemicals — with the ability to apply that expertise across a global organisation.
As a senior leader within the business, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering Cat Tech’s HSE strategy, ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting the company’s operations worldwide.
This role is based in Scunthorpe, UK and requires the ability to commute Monday to Friday. Flexibility to travel internationally is essential for supporting our global operations.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of HSE policies, systems, and procedures in line with current legislation and company standards
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, and manage investigations into incidents and near-misses
• Provide expert support to commercial, engineering, and operational teams across multiple regions
• Deliver engaging in-house training and promote best practices across the organisation
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure consistent safety standards are upheld
• Contribute to tender preparation and contract mobilisation with robust safety planning
Key Requirements:
• Strong background in HSE management within industrial, high-risk, or technical service sectors
• NEBOSH Certificate (minimum requirement)
• ISO auditing experience and solid understanding of UK HSE regulations
• Demonstrated experience in incident investigation and trend analysis
• Confident communicator and trainer with the ability to influence at all levels
