JOB- Health and Safety / Facilities Manager

LOCATION- West Sussex

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

We are looking for Health and Safety / Facilities Manager on a permanent basis in the Storrington, West Sussex area with experience in the manufacturing industry. Your main duty will be to assist the Health and Safety as well as Maintenance teams in the compliance of health and safety regulations and maintenance when carrying out works across the site.

The Health and Safety / Facilities Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Previous experience as a Health and Safety or Facilities Manager within manufacturing.
  • Understanding of LOLER, PUWER and other regulation systems.
  • Experience of Safety Checks and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance).
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
  • Able to train any staff for Health and Safety training
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Any relevant experience within ISO9001 or ISO14001 would be very beneficial

The Health and Safety / Facilities Manager role will involve:

  • Carrying out safety checks across the manufacturing site.
  • Maintaining documentation and business systems.
  • Ensure correct procedures are carried out for LOLER, PUWER, Waste, Fire and Security protocols.
  • Assist in Contractor selection for site work and maintenance to be carried out.
  • Help Maintenance Technicians to ensure work is carried out as safely as possible.
