What you’ll be doing:
Lead and improve Health & Safety across the site.
Get out on the factory floor, spot risks and make sure safety standards are followed.
Carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments.
Investigate accidents and near misses, finding out what went wrong and preventing repeat incidents.
Coach and train employees and managers on safe working practices.
Manage contractor safety, permits to work and compliance.
Support new equipment, production changes and site improvement projects.
Track safety performance, report findings and drive improvements.
Keep policies, procedures and safety systems up to date.
Work with the General Manager and wider Health & Safety team to deliver a safer workplace.
What we’re looking for:
Experience in Health & Safety within manufacturing or FMCG.
NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.
NEBOSH Diploma, or working towards it, is an advantage.
Knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and ISO 45001.
Experience with risk assessments, audits and accident investigations.
A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge and influence others.
Someone who takes ownership, communicates well and gets things done.
What’s on offer?
£45,000–£55,000 salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
The opportunity to make a genuine impact on site safety.
Close working relationships with senior site leadership and the wider H&S function.
A chance for a strong Advisor to step up, or an experienced Manager to take on their next challenge.
