Allen & York are delighted to be working with Maldon Salt to assist in the appointment of a Health & Safety Manager for the business. Maldon Salt is a fourth-generation family-owned business producing pyramid artisan salt since 1882, using traditional hand-crafted methods that have served the culinary market in the UK and globally.

As a new role within the company, this opportunity is within the QSE department, reporting to the QSE Manager. The role involves supporting, advising, and ensuring compliance across all operations in the Maldon region.

This is a hands-on role working closely with manufacturing, distribution, and packaging teams, liaising with key individuals to promote improvements and positive behavior change.

The successful candidate will act as the technical expert, ensuring compliance with safety documentation, managing contractors on site, conducting new starter inductions, audit programs, risk assessments, and supporting departmental activities.

Candidates should have experience in Health & Safety within an FMCG or manufacturing environment, with experience in installing or auditing management systems, and possess strong communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.

It is essential that candidates demonstrate a strong work ethic, a collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a focus on developing high standards and innovation.

NEBOSH qualification (ideally a Diploma) is preferred, and candidates should hold a current driving license.
