Job summary

Bryan & Armstrong are recruiting an H&S Compliance Manager to own statutory compliance, building safety and Health & Safety across a growing portfolio of commercial offices in London.

This permanent, full-time role offers autonomy to develop and manage a robust compliance framework, working with facilities management, operations and project teams, and coordinating external contractors to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
• Proven experience as a Compliance/Health & Safety manager in property/FM.
• Knowledge of fire, water hygiene, asbestos, gas and electrical safety.
• Experience managing contractors and risk assessments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of statutory compliance and Health & Safety across a multi-site commercial property portfolio.
• Act as the designated competent person for Health & Safety, providing technical advice and guidance across the business.
• Manage statutory compliance requirements covering fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas and electrical safety.
• Coordinate statutory inspections, testing, maintenance and remedial works, ensuring compliance obligations are met.
• Undertake and review risk assessments, identifying and managing compliance risks.
• Manage external compliance contractors, monitoring performance, service delivery and standards.
• Develop and maintain compliance systems, processes, documentation and reporting.
• Work closely with Facilities Management, Operations and Project teams to embed compliance requirements and drive continuous improvement.

Bryan & Armstrong are working with a fast-growing managed office provider to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to take ownership of statutory compliance, building safety and Health & Safety across a growing portfolio of commercial office properties in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive compliance professional to develop and manage a robust compliance framework, working closely with operational teams, project managers and external contractors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring statutory obligations are met, managing compliance risks and driving continuous improvement across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of statutory compliance and Health & Safety across a multi-site commercial property portfolio.
• Act as the designated competent person for Health & Safety, providing technical advice and guidance across the business.
• Manage statutory compliance requirements covering fire safety, water hygiene, asbestos, gas and electrical safety.

Experience & Qualifications

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent - essential.
• Previous experience in a Compliance Manager, Building Compliance Manager, Statutory Compliance or H&S management role.
• Experience managing statutory compliance across commercial property, managed offices or Facilities Management environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory compliance requirements, including fire, water hygiene, asbestos, gas and electrical safety.
• Experience managing contractors, statutory maintenance programmes, risk assessments and remedial actions.
• Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and work independently.
