Information about the Role
To support UK national security, Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) requires an experienced team behind the scenes. As a Health and Safety/Estates Manager, you will be part of this team, handling various building-related issues.
Your role involves ensuring the safety and proper management of CTP buildings. Responsibilities include managing building-related tasks such as locker audits, occupancy monitoring, and acting as a liaison with Met Property Services.
You will handle tasks ranging from accommodation moves to decommissioning, ensuring compliance with policies, SLAs, and high standards. You must interact and negotiate with diverse stakeholders and represent the views of Special Operations (SO) and CTP HQ in discussions related to the Met Estates Strategy and Asset Management plan.
Candidates should have a background in facilities and resource management or similar, with knowledge of business support services, health and safety legislation, and building-related services. Skills in prioritization, expectation management, problem-solving, and credibility are essential. The role involves guiding business decisions, managing H&S in the workplace, and implementing improvements.
