Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a full-time Health & Safety Advisor (Band 7) to join the Corporate Governance team. The role requires competence in regulatory compliance, risk management and delivering health and safety programmes across the trust.

You will act as the expert advisor on health and safety, coordinating training, supporting monitoring, and working with multidisciplinary teams to drive core safety activities and annual workplans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of managing violence and aggression is essential for the role.
• Significant experience of healthcare risk management systems is desirable.
• Candidates should have excellent IT and communication skills and experience of working in a busy team, with structured annual workplans and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Act as the expert advisor on health and safety to the Trust, coordinating the health and safety action plan.

Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working, however, at least 3 days onsite attendance is expected for this role

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time experienced competent Health & Safety Advisor at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, committed individual with health and safety experience in a designated competent person health and safety role to join our team. The postholder will be an integral team member of the health and safety team, working within regulatory compliance.

You will need to demonstrate the ability to work closely with team members from all professions and with the wider governance teams and specialist roles to proactively deliver core health and safety requirements and help coordinate training, support, monitoring and management in respect of the trust’s health and safety programmes and plans.
