Health and Safety Advisor

Shirley Parsons is working with an established, yet growing fitout and refurbishment contractor based out of Central London. We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for their flagship project, starting in July. This role is suitable for candidates with a pragmatic approach, capable of working independently and taking accountability when engaging with site operatives. It is a permanent position, with the successful candidate embedded in further projects upon completion of the current one, likely lasting 2 years. Due to the urgency of this role, candidates with a shorter notice period will have an advantage. The role requires 5 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out inductions, RAMS reviews, and providing advice to subcontractors.
2. Chairing bi-weekly safety meetings onsite.
3. Serving as the Temporary Works Coordinator (training provided if needed).

Requirements:

1. NEBOSH General Certificate at minimum, with construction experience.
2. SMSTS and First Aid certification.
3. Experience working in a site-based role.
4. Knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations.
