Job summary

Safety Talent Limited is recruiting a Health & Safety Advisor to support major infrastructure contracts across civil engineering and utilities. This on-site role collaborates with project managers, site teams and contractors to uphold high safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead site inspections, review RAMS, investigate incidents and near-misses, deliver toolbox talks, and drive a positive safety culture across live works, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certificate or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience working directly with site and operational teams.
• Confidence challenging unsafe practices where required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out site inspections and audits.
• Providing day-to-day H&S advice to operational teams.

Health & Safety Advisor - Infrastructure

Location: Hants / East Sussex

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + package

We're recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to support ongoing major infrastructure contracts

This is a good opportunity for an experienced H&S professional who wants to work across long-term utilities and infrastructure projects, supporting operational teams and helping maintain strong safety standards across live sites.

The role

You'll work closely with project managers, site teams and contractors across both business areas, providing practical health and safety support across ongoing works.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out site inspections and audits
• Providing day-to-day H&S advice to operational teams
• Reviewing RAMS and safe systems of work
• Supporting incident and near-miss investigations
• Monitoring compliance with company standards and legislation
• Supporting toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Working with contractors and supply-chain partners
• Identifying areas for improvement and ensuring actions are closed out
• Supporting the development of a positive safety culture across the projects

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within:

• Civil engineering
• Utilities
• Water
• Infrastructure
• Groundworks
• Construction

You should also have
