Health and Safety Advisor

Basingstoke | £55,000 | Plus Car Allowance and Excellent Benefits

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading property developer to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The organisation turns over circa £1bn and works on a range of bespoke residential developments across the UK. Health and Safety has always been an integral part of the company's culture, and this role will play a crucial part in this continued success.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

1. Engaging across the sites, implementing health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, and developing contractors.
2. Assisting with training, toolbox talks, inductions, and investigating incidents where required.
3. Reviewing and producing risk assessments and method statements, and addressing health and safety queries.
4. Assisting with audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting findings.

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or a related industry.
• NEBOSH or NCRQ Certificate, ideally working towards a Diploma, and relevant IOSH membership.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse range of people.
• Drive and enthusiasm, with the ability to promote a positive health and safety culture.
