Job summary

Bupa Clinic in St Albans is hiring a Health Advisor on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours). You will educate customers on living longer, healthier, happier lives and perform clinical assessments with a patient-first focus.

You will maintain records, promote healthy lifestyles, and use motivational interviewing to help clients adopt positive changes. Flexible working and extensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in exercise physiology/sports science or nutrition is required.
• Experience in customer-facing health or fitness settings is essential.
• Experience with health/fitness measurements is desirable.
• Accuracy in recording information within clinical guidelines is important.
• Ability to build rapport and tailor approach to individuals.
• Empathy and ability to motivate customers to improve health.

Responsibilities

• Support the service delivery of Health Assessments to customers.
• Maintain accurate client records and support end-to-end processes.
• Promote a healthier lifestyle in line with clinical policies.
• Carry out clinical testing (e.g., body composition, spirometry, heart rate, gas analysis, diabetes markers, BP, cholesterol, anaemia markers, ECG, audiometry, movement screening).
• Create individual lifestyle action plans using motivational interviewing to promote change.
• Make post-assessment calls to support positive health actions.
