Job summary

The Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust is seeking an inspirational Head of School or Headteacher for a primary school in Doncaster. You will lead curriculum development, drive school improvement, and engage the community to deliver high standards.

Working with the CEO and School Improvement Team, you will shape a nurturing, inclusive environment, develop staff, and ensure strong educational outcomes aligned with the trust’s ethos.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the ethos and values of the trust.
• Strong strategic and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to the school, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high academic standards.
• Implement the trust's mission and values in daily school life, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
• Work with the Trust EWO to improve pupil attendance and reduce persistent absence.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
• Oversee the delivery of the national and school curriculum, ensuring an engaging learning experience for all pupils.
• Lead and support the professional development of teaching and non-teaching staff.
