Job summary

Woodland Primary Academy is seeking a Headteacher to lead its 5–11 age range within THE QUILL C OF E TRUST. With about 170 pupils and two specialist SEN Units, SEND leadership is central to the post. Candidates need Qualified Teacher Status and an enhanced DBS check, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Key responsibilities include driving improvement, developing staff, growing admissions, and building partnerships with families and external agencies within a supportive Trust framework.

• Strengthen and develop the specialist SEND provision, including the SEN Units.
• Drive school improvement so that every pupil achieves strong outcomes.
• Develop staff so they are supported, challenged and empowered.
• Grow pupil numbers and enhance the school's reputation with the Trust and local community.
• Build partnerships with families, the local community, the Local Authority and external agencies.
