Job description

Headteacher – Estuary Academy North (Gravesend)

We are seeking an inspirational Headteacher for a permanent position at our Estuary Academy North. Since joining our Trust in 2020, the school has demonstrated significant improvement, achieving outstanding in personal development and good in all other areas as per the July 2023 Ofsted report. As our Head of School departs, we are confident that the school is ready for a substantive Headteacher to lead into the next phase.

The successful candidate will be expected to assume this role by September 2025, with a preference for an earlier start to incorporate their vision for the upcoming year. The ideal candidate will be solution-focused, resilient, and an exceptional communicator, demonstrating high-level organisational and operational management skills alongside strategic leadership. They will be a strong team leader with a relationship-first approach, committed to supporting our valued staff through this leadership transition.

We welcome applications from current or aspiring Deputy Headteachers, Heads of School, or Headteachers who are dedicated to positive outcomes for young people and exemplify leadership by example.

Key requirements include:

  • High expectations for individual progress and an unwavering ambition for all pupils to succeed
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining effective teams and stakeholder relationships

The successful applicant will possess:
