Job summary

Dallam Community Primary School in Warrington is seeking a new Headteacher to provide inspirational leadership and build on our inclusive, thriving community.

You will be the leading professional, accountable to the LGCB and TCAT Board, shaping strategy and ensuring the school is well managed to meet its aims and ambitions.

This role offers Leadership Scale L15–L21, access to TCAT+ rewards, CPD through Education Connect, and strong staff wellbeing support.

Headteacher - Dallam Community Primary School

Serving children aged 2 to 11, Dallam is a proud member of The Challenge Academy Trust (TCAT) and is committed to ensuring that every child is nurtured, inspired and empowered to achieve their very best.

The role

Dallam Community Primary School is seeking to appoint a new Headteacher who can provide inspiring leadership and build upon the significant strengths of our thriving and inclusive school community.


As Headteacher, you will be the leading professional at the school, accountable to the Local Governing Challenge Board (LGCB) and the Trust Board. You will provide vision, leadership, and direction, ensuring the school is managed and organised to meet its aims and ambitions. You will also play a key role in The Challenge Academy Trust’s Central Executive Team, contributing to the strategic direction of the trust and collaborating with other Principals and Headteachers to advance educational outcomes.

  • Demonstrates drive, resilience, and integrity to lead with conviction and compassion

  • Is passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child thrives.

  • Has a clear vision for outstanding primailto:mary education.

  • Can motivate, challenge and empower staff to achieve excellence.

  • Builds strong relationships with pupils, families, governors and the wider community.

  • Embraces innovation whilst maintaining focus on teaching, learning and achievement.

  • Can work effectively within a collaborative Trust environment.

  • Salary: Leadership Scale L15 – L21 (£73,105 to £84,699 - subject to 3.5% uplift).

  • Eligible for membership of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

Key dates and Information

Wednesday 15 October 2026. - Applicants will be invited to an assessment centre, to be held at the school.


Thursday 16 October 2026. - Following the assessment centre, candidates will be reviewed, with successful candidates being invited to a formal panel interview


January 2027 - Start date (subject to candidate notice periods)


Salary:- Headteacher Group 2: STPCD L15 – L21


Leadership Scale L15 – L21 (£73,105 to £84,699 - subject to 3.5% uplift).
