Head Waiter/Waitress
Reporting to Head Waitress/Club Manager.
Aim of the role as a Head Waiter / Waitress
The main objective is to assist the Manager on duty in organizing and supervising service in the Restaurant / Lounge.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing opening and closing procedures.
- Conducting briefings and training sessions.
- Leading events and private dinners.
Other key duties include:
- Ensuring that service is performed professionally and in accordance with the style specified by the Manager on duty / Line Manager.
- Having comprehensive knowledge of all dishes served and providing confident explanations when requested.
- Communicating respectfully with other restaurant staff and departments.
- Adhering to Company Policy and the Vision Statement.
- Maintaining product knowledge of all services offered in Nexus Club London.
- Meeting guests’ wishes where reasonably possible, showing passion and pride for Nexus Club London.
- Performing mise en place, cleaning, and service duties, emphasizing teamwork and flexibility.
- Completing all tasks within the allocated time and to the standards set by the Manager.
- Reporting comments, complaints, or problems to the Head Waiter/Manager discreetly and with integrity.
- Coordinating with the Head Waiter to ensure proper preparations and mise en place.
- Wearing the company watch and being available for customer calls and service at all times.
- Handling various service tasks, including food service, drink preparation, and special requests.
- Preparing coffee and basic cocktails as needed to support the bar team.
- Assisting the Head Waiter in ensuring the station is ready for service.
- Managing floor service, including table setup, taking orders, and serving food, providing excellent customer care.
- Being prepared to serve in Cafeteria, Floor, Bar, Club lounge, and Terrace.
- Maintaining discreet and efficient service with integrity.
- Wearing a neat and professional uniform that meets club standards.
- Participating actively in trainings, briefings, and meetings.
- Understanding and executing company policies related to privacy, confidentiality, and data protection.
