Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a Head Waiter to lead service in our busy dining rooms, taking orders, guiding a team, and ensuring exceptional hospitality. You will manage a section, supervise Commis Waiters, and uphold high standards of service and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years’ experience in a similar Head Waiter/Team Leader role.
• Solution‑driven with a calm, professional approach to service.
• Strong communication and guest‑facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a service section during busy periods and take food orders.
• Serve guests and ensure accurate and efficient bill presentation.
• Direct and motivate a team of Commis Waiters and support staff, prioritising welfare and development.

Key elements of your role as Head Waiter

Will involve controlling a section during service, taking food orders, serving guests and providing a professional bill service. Responsible for directing and motivating a team of Commis Waiters, you will also take an active interest in your team’s welfare, safety, and professional development.

About you:

You have at least 1+ years’ experience in this role and are solution-driven, working well under pressure. You pride yourself on your professional approach to service excellence and you are a real team player.
