Job summary

The Pet Vet Bristol is seeking a Head Nurse to lead our nursing team and ensure exceptional clinical care and customer service. You will mentor RVNs, students and VCAs while managing day-to-day operations in a busy practice.

Salary starts from £34,000 (DOE) with a 4-day week, 9-hour shifts, duty nights on rotation and 1:4 weekends. A comprehensive benefits package includes enhanced maternity/paternity pay, income protection, electric car scheme and more.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary nurse with leadership potential.
• Confident, self-motivated and engaging with staff development.
• Experience supporting RVNs, students and VCAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead our nursing team to deliver clinical care and customer service.
• Support professional development and training across RVNs, students, and VCAs.
• Coordinate shifts, 9-hour days, night duties on rotation and 1:4 weekends.
