Location: Irby and Neston, Merseyside

Salary: Up to £35,000 FTE depending on experience + Benefits

Hours: Part time - Average 28 Hours per week

Contract: 9-Month FTC

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team!

Are you an experienced Nurse looking for your first steps into leading a team? Are you looking for a role with a good work/life balance, with no OOH\'s? The opportunity to work with an experienced team who pull together and support each other?

If so, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated RVN to join our team and take the lead.

We are a first-opinion practice with excellent facilities and a high standard of clinical care. You will work closely with the Practice Director to lead the team of nurses. We are passionate about developing our nurses to their full potential and our team is rapidly gaining confidence with schedule 3 procedures. The role is 28 a hours across 3 days a week between the hours of 8:30am-6:30pm with 1:4 Saturday mornings.

Main duties
  • Leading and supporting the nursing team
  • Completing 1-2-1\'s and regular check-ins
  • Stock control
  • Providing high-quality patient care
  • Coordinating rotas
  • Setting and maintaining clinical standards of care in collaboration with other departmental heads and seniors
  • Recruitment and induction of new RVNs, SVNs and VCAs in partnership with in-house support office
