Job summary

Chattyvets in Central London is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to step into a Head Veterinary Nurse role, leading a dedicated nursing team and upholding the highest standards of patient care and client service.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, mentor colleagues and support the team across nursing duties, with a strong focus on patient welfare and client communication. This role offers development opportunities and a collaborative practice environment.

Qualifications

• RVN with leadership aptitude or senior nursing experience
• Comfort with coaching, mentoring and supervising others
• Strong communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team and ensure high standards of patient care
• Lead nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities
• Support consultations, surgical procedures and theatre activity
• Monitor patient admissions and discharges
• Maintain regulatory compliance and day-to-day practice operations
• Mentor and develop junior nurses and support staff
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment
• Serve as a role model for patient and client care
