British Grooms Association in North Yorkshire seeks an experienced Head Groom/Yard Manager to join Hambleton House, on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. The role will drive yard operations and horse care to a high standard.

You will work with Beth to lead daily activities, manage staff, and ensure welfare across feeding, basic veterinary tasks and bandaging. Riding out is a bonus but not essential. Accommodation is provided in a two-bedroom cottage, with a competitive salary and bonuses.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a similar position with yard management.
• In-depth understanding of horse care and welfare.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work off initiative.

Bryan and Beth Smart are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Head Person/Yard Manager to join their successful team at Hambleton House, on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar position, an in depth understanding of horse care and management and an excellent attention to detail.

The successful candidate will work alongside Beth to ensure the smooth running of the yard on a daily basis. You should have experience managing staff, the ability to work off your own initiative, and be well organised. Experience in all aspects of horse care and welfare including feeding, administering basic veterinary treatments and medications, bandaging and all general horse care is important.

With Beth joining Bryan on the license this is an opportunity to help drive the yard forward into a new and successful chapter and the person we hope to join us will be fully committed to the success of the yard and everyone in it.

The ability to ride out is an advantage but not essential.

This position comes with an onsite, centrally heated, self-contained two bedroom cottage alongside a competitive salary with bonuses.
