Job summary

Perins School in New Alresford is seeking a Head of Year to join our teaching staff and lead a team of tutors, upholding the Perins Ethos and ensuring high standards of social, personal and academic development.

The role includes working with House Leaders to support KS3 progress, with potential for a subject specialism and a rolling scope through years 8–11. This is a full-time post in a well-respected secondary school with strong development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with the House Leaders, Heads of Year support, hold accountable and develop a team of tutors focusing on being “standard bearers” for the Perins Ethos.
• Responsible for maintaining high standards of social, personal, and academic development of students so that 90%+ of KS3 students make at least Expected progress.
• Ensure 40% of students, from starting points, make above Perins Expected progress and 90%+ meet attainment targets.
• Provide a rich and rounded educational experience, with access to onsite gym, childcare discounts and afterschool club benefits.
