Job summary

McLaren Automotive invites application for Head of Vehicle Line Interiors in Woking. You will lead vehicle interior delivery across all McLaren programs, linking function groups, programme teams and executives within a matrix organisation.

You will oversee planning, forecasting and delivery to time, cost and quality, driving simultaneous engineering and supplier liaison while managing risks and design releases through the McLaren Development Process.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree 2:1 or above.
• Extensive experience of automotive programmes and project delivery.
• Experience with APQP or similar framework.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and automotive systems.
• Proven leadership and delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define Function Group timing plan and budgets with Finance and other areas.
• Forecast and report programme financials across internal/external resources.
• Act as primary programme contact to ensure deliverables on time, cost and quality.
• Plan, monitor and execute project activities from concept through series.
• Manage DFMEA and Tech Specs by owners as required.
• Establish control of system design, release, development and validation plans.
• Lead team to deliver KPIs: BOM, Investment, Quality, Build deviations, Engineering release.
• Promote Simultaneous Engineering for early stakeholder engagement.
• Prepare for and participate in forums with clear updates to programmes.
• Support technology decisions with business cases and lifecycle thinking.
• Lead supplier liaison and cross-functional delivery through supply chain.
