Job Title: Head of Treasury (Contract – Part-Time)

Location: Fully Remote (Occasional travel to London for business-critical meetings)

Day Rate: Competitive

Commitment: 2–3 days per week

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Duration: 6 Months (with strong potential for extension)

Overview

We are working with a major organisation in the retail sector to appoint an experienced Head of Treasury on a part-time, interim basis. This high-impact role is designed to strengthen treasury leadership during a period of strategic change and ongoing transformation.

The role is fully remote, with travel to London only required on an ad hoc basis for business-critical meetings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead treasury operations and strategy, including liquidity management, FX exposure, debt structuring, and bank relationships.
2. Oversee short- and long-term cash forecasting and working capital management.
3. Ensure compliance with treasury policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
4. Collaborate closely with Finance, FP&A, Investor Relations, and Executive leadership to guide decision-making and support business planning.
5. Support the implementation of treasury improvements and advise on system upgrades where required.
6. Provide robust reporting for leadership and Board-level visibility on treasury performance and risks.

Experience & Skills Required

• Proven experience as a Head of Treasury or equivalent, ideally in a retail or consumer-driven environment.
• Expertise in treasury operations, banking structures, cash flow forecasting, and financial risk management.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to communicate confidently at an executive level.
• Comfortable operating within a part-time structure and managing priorities across multiple areas with autonomy.
• Familiarity with IR35 regulations and operating within an inside IR35 contract.
