Job description

Operating out of 11 key portsand logistics centres across the UK, we are committed to retaining and developing talent nationwide.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team in a newly created role, Head of Transactional Finance Services reporting to the Group CFO.

Location: Head Office, Middlesbrough. Hybrid working available with at least two days based in the office.

Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.

As Head of Transactional Finance Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, engaging and coaching a team of c16 accountable for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking and Finance systems.
  • Utilising automation and process improvements to improve controls and service to stakeholders internally and externally
  • Ensuring that financial data is accurate, timely and easily accessible to stakeholders.
  • Defining, implementing, managing and monitoring a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and controls, creating a culture of innovation and scalability.

We are seeking someone who has:

  • A minimum of 5 years leading a transactional finance team and at least ten years working in finance function
  • Experience in leading a team through a new ERP system implementation
  • Extensive stakeholder and change management experience
  • Experience of working with external auditors and other external organisations.
  • Proven expertise in identifying and resolving issues, process re-engineering
