Job summary

HSBC is seeking a senior leader to head CTOi Control Operations, owning the technology controls environment across CTO Infrastructure and driving proactive risk oversight in a highly regulated setting.

You will partner with senior technology and business stakeholders to strengthen the control framework, oversee a 170-person team, and manage a USD 15m budget while delivering measurable improvements in control effectiveness and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience building and running technology risk and control frameworks in regulated environments.
• Experience shaping policies for disaster recovery, incident response and security training.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess risks across information security, infrastructure, applications and third parties.
• Proven delivery of risk mitigation with measurable improvements and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own CTOi controls and drive proactive, data-based controls management.
• Represent CTOi at risk and control forums including Technology RCMM.
• Develop and maintain the technology risk and control framework aligned to risk strategy and regs.
• Establish policies for disaster recovery, incident response and security awareness training.
• Identify and assess technology risks across information security, infra, apps and vendors.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies in partnership with tech teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor control effectiveness and address deficiencies and gaps.
• Coordinate with operational risk, compliance and internal audit on tech risks.
