RedRock Resourcing is hiring an IT Director / Head of Technology for a new role covering software and IT infrastructure. The position combines hands-on technical work with strategic oversight to align IT capabilities with business objectives.

Ideal candidates will lead development, infrastructure and security, drive digital transformation, and manage budgets while building high-performing teams in a hybrid UK setting.

Qualifications

• Senior IT leadership experience overseeing software development, infrastructure and information security.
• Experience in building and scaling cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services and enterprise applications.
• Strong web apps experience, particularly .NET.
• Familiar with Agile, SDLC, ITIL and COBIT frameworks.
• Understanding of data protection, information security and cyber risk management.
• Proven track record in digital transformation and systems integration.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop existing software solutions and IT systems.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, especially cyber, AI and automation.
• Communicate technical strategies, challenges, and achievements.
• Evaluate and implement scalable architectural designs.
• Ensure robust data management to drive performance insights.
• Lead technical teams using agile methodologies.
• Set and manage technology budgets.
• Oversee recruitment, development and retention of staff.
• Monitor system performance and reliability.
