This position offers more than senior technical responsibilities; it provides an opportunity to influence policy, guide industry best practices, and lead a team that sets the benchmark in technical excellence.

Role responsibilities:

1. Setting and executing the technical strategy in alignment with organisational goals.
2. Leading the production of technical publications, datasheets, and expert guidance.
3. Representing the organisation at conferences, technical committees, and working groups.
4. Driving commercial growth through technical consultancy, training, and member engagement.
5. Managing and mentoring a high-performing technical team to foster an inspiring and productive culture.
6. Responding to complex technical issues and shaping national standards and consumer trust.

Candidates’ skills & experience:

1. Extensive experience in the glass and fenestration sector (both commercial and domestic).
2. Proven leadership in technical or engineering roles, ideally with cross-sector or policy exposure.
3. Exceptional communication skills, from public speaking to technical writing.
4. Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence to represent at senior levels (government, industry boards, etc.).
5. Experience managing budgets and identifying revenue opportunities.
