Role Summary

Are you ready for the next step in your career at SMBC Group EMEA? We’re seeking a Head of Talent Acquisition, EMEA (Director) to lead our Human Resources team. You will develop and execute the talent acquisition strategy for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, attracting top talent and ensuring a positive candidate experience while building a strong employer brand.

In this role you will:

  • Define and implement a service delivery model to improve efficiency
  • Oversee permanent and temporary hiring across the region (approx. 500 hires/year)
  • Drive organizational capability by hiring diverse talent
  • Maximize operational efficiency, including direct sourcing

You will need to bring:

  • Strategic leadership to engage and lead a matrixed team
  • Operational excellence using data and technology
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Business Area

This role is part of the Talent, Learning and Development Centre of Excellence within HR, managing a UK team of about 15 and overseeing an MSP.
