Job summary

ZeroAvia is recruiting a Head of Architecture & Test in the UK to lead system architecture, requirements engineering, safety methodologies and testing strategies for hydrogen-electric propulsion systems. You will govern architecture and verification across all development levels and collaborate with certification authorities to ensure certifiability and viability.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, shaping architecture, safety and testing approaches while aligning with regulatory milestones

Qualifications

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years in systems engineering, architecture, testing or technical leadership in aerospace or regulated industries.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering architecture, safety, and verification activities.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern system architecture, requirements engineering, safety methodologies, and testing strategies for hydrogen-electric propulsion systems.
• Establish and improve architecture, safety and testing processes aligned with DOA requirements and regulatory standards.
• Oversee testing and validation across component, subsystem and full system levels to ensure robust, certifiable solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, certification authorities and program leaders to enable successful delivery.
• Lead the Architecture & Test team, drive technical excellence, and manage resource planning and career development.
