Job summary

An established manufacturing business is seeking a Head of Sustainability to be based in their Northampton office. You will lead the sustainability function, report to the operations executive committee and drive the company’s ESG strategy, reporting, and decarbonisation efforts.

The role requires proven sustainability leadership in chemicals, FMCG, manufacturing or pharma, with a track record of embedding strategy and delivering Scope 3 improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sustainability in chemicals, FMCG, manufacturing or pharma.
• Sustainability strategy experience and driving continuous improvement.
• Experience with procuring and delivering Scope 3 targets.
• Strong stakeholder management across many departments.
• Data analysis, KPI tracking and ESG reporting to industry standards.
• Experience with Social Value / Community initiatives and wellness projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Sustainability & ESG strategy.
• Report to leadership with progress updates and act as advisor.
• Manage ESG reporting, carbon emissions, energy usage and KPIs.
• Lead CSR and social impact campaigns to maximise benefits.
• Collaborate across the business to embed ESG strategy and drive awareness.
• Work with procurement, R&D and EHS to maximise sustainability progress.
