Job summary

UBT in Thetford is seeking a strategic Head of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end operations for a growing furniture manufacturer and fit-out specialist. You will own procurement, supplier performance, inventory management, production planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will develop strong supplier partnerships, negotiate contracts, drive cost savings, improve processes and lead a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Track record of improving processes, reducing costs and enhancing performance.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Commercial mindset balancing cost, quality and service.
• Experience in manufacturing, furniture or product-based environments.
• Qualifications such as CIPS or APICS are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end supply chain function including procurement, supplier performance, inventory management, and production planning.

Are you an experienced Supply Chain leader looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact?

We're seeking a commercially mindedHead of Supply Chain to lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations for a well-established and growing furniture manufacturer and fit-out specialist. Supporting both stocked product ranges and bespoke furniture projects, you'll play a critical role in ensuring products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest standards.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of the entire supply chain function, leading procurement, supplier performance, inventory management, production planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll be responsible for:

• Developing strong partnerships with UK and international suppliers.
• Negotiating contracts, pricing, and service agreements.
• Managing supplier performance, quality, lead times, and capacity.
• Leading and developing a high-performing Supply Chain team.
• Overseeing forecasting, stock management, and production scheduling.
• Driving operational efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives.
• Implementing and improving supply chain systems, reporting, and KPIs.

Requirements

We're looking for a proactive and resilient leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.

You'll likely have:

• Around 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• A track record of improving processes, reducing costs, and enhancing performance.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to balance cost, quality, and service.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing, furniture, or product-based environment.
• Qualifications such as CIPS, APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field would be advantageous.
