Job summary

Rolls‑Royce SMR Limited is seeking a senior leader to head the Structural Analysis function within the Engineering organisation. The role focuses on delivering and shaping the long‑term strategy across programmes and lifecycle phases.

You will lead a team, drive governance and Design Authority maturity, and engage with regulators, customers and external partners to deliver enterprise‑wide prioritisation and responsible, sustainable capability growth.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) is required.
• A degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Experience leading large engineering functions in regulated industries is essential.
• Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape strategy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful delivery of Structural Analysis across development programmes and lifecycle phases.
• Provide enterprise‑wide prioritisation across competing programme and business demands.

• Build and inspire a high‑performing leadership team and culture of continuous improvement.

Any of the Rolls‑Royce SMR locations: Manchester, Warrington & Derby (Hybrid). Regular collaboration across these sites will be required, with occasional travel to other business and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Proven success leading through senior managers and delivering results across sizeable organisations.
• Strong strategic leadership capability and experience influencing executive stakeholders.
• Technical credibility within Structural Analysis or related engineering disciplines.
• Capability to develop people, drive transformation and build sustainable capability.

Benefits

• Salary £85,600 – £115,800 DOE.
• Performance‑related target opportunity 20% bonus.
