Job Description:

We have partnered with one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer marketplace businesses, seeking a Head of Marketplace to work closely with the senior leadership team.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration across strategy, marketing, creative, operations, and product departments, contributing to the company's growth. It offers opportunities to engage with experienced advisors and VC professionals from top-tier global e-commerce companies.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate industry trends, performance data, and category benchmarks to identify high-potential growth channels beyond core paid social, such as B2B, marketplaces, retention, Pinterest, SEO, and emerging social commerce platforms.
• Design and implement structured launch plans for priority growth channels, covering commercial models, resource planning, performance metrics, and coordination across key teams.
• Oversee the end-to-end development of new channels, working hands-on or through internal teams and external partners to deliver measurable impact and embed new capabilities into daily operations.
• Establish long-term ownership models for channels through hiring, outsourcing, training, or automation, ensuring sustainability and preparing for future opportunities.
• Support strategic decision-making and shape company-wide priorities as part of the senior leadership team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in strategy or consulting at a leading firm, with a strong record of problem-solving and structured thinking. Consumer and retail projects are preferable.
• At least 2 years of industry experience in a consumer business is highly desired.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategies.
• Clear and confident communicator capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership experience or potential to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in a consumer-facing business is a plus but not essential.
• Enthusiasm for dynamic, fast-paced environments, especially those with a creative or growth-oriented culture.
