Head of Omnichannel Strategy-Consumer Marketplace
London
We have partnered with one of the UK's fastest growing consumer marketplace businesses, seeking to hire a Head of Marketplace to work closely with the senior leadership team.
This role involves working cross-functionally across strategy, marketing, creative, operations, and product, contributing directly to the company’s growth. It also provides opportunities to engage with experienced advisors and VC professionals from top-tier global e-commerce businesses.
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating industry trends, performance data, and category benchmarks to identify high-potential growth channels beyond core paid social—such as B2B, marketplaces, retention, Pinterest, SEO, and emerging social commerce platforms.
- Designing and implementing structured launch plans for priority growth channels, covering commercial models, resource planning, performance metrics, and coordination across teams.
Channel execution and growth:
- Overseeing the development of new channels, working hands-on or through internal teams and external partners to deliver measurable impact and embed capabilities into operations.
Embedding and evolving:
- Establishing long-term ownership models through hiring, outsourcing, training, or automation to ensure sustainability and focus on new opportunities.
Strategic contribution:
- Playing a key leadership role in shaping company priorities, supporting decision-making, and identifying future growth levers as part of the senior leadership team.
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in strategy or consulting at a leading firm, with a strong record of problem-solving and structured thinking. Experience in consumer and retail projects is preferable.
- At least 2 years of industry experience in a consumer business is highly desired.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into strategies.
- Clear and confident communicator capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership or potential to lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in a consumer-facing business is a plus but not essential.
- Enthusiasm for dynamic, fast-paced environments, especially those with a creative or growth focus.
