The Head of Strategic & Enterprise Architecture plays a vital role in ensuring architectural continuity and alignment with our technology strategy, focusing on customer-centric solutions. You will be a strategic partner in shaping how Kingfisher leverages new technologies and business opportunities to simplify and enhance our core capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maturity of the Strategic & Enterprise Architecture practice, embedding standards, tooling, and governance aligned with business strategies to facilitate agile decision-making.
  • Promote the value of Strategic Architecture across the organization, communicating its impact on strategy, innovation, and transformation through effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of domain architects, ensuring alignment with business goals and growth of architectural capabilities.
  • Deliver future-state architecture views, identifying opportunities where technology can unlock value for customers and support our vision.
  • Drive innovation by tracking emerging technologies, running pilots, and integrating valuable solutions into daily operations.
  • Collaborate across departments, influencing senior stakeholders and guiding architectural decisions through forums like design councils and governance boards.
  • Develop architectural roadmaps and transition plans, aligning business ambitions with technological capabilities and investments.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience leading and maturing a Strategic & Enterprise Architecture function within a large, complex organization, including establishing governance, standards, tooling, and cross-domain views.
  • Ability to connect technology strategy with business outcomes, shaping future capabilities, and engaging senior stakeholders to drive value through architecture-led decisions.
  • Proven success in building and developing high-performing architecture teams, mentoring, recruiting, and aligning them with organizational goals.
  • A track record of evaluating and applying emerging technologies to deliver innovation and improve business performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership, technology teams, and external partners.
