The Head of Strategic & Enterprise Architecture plays a critical role in ensuring the continuity of architecture and alignment with the Banners technology direction to hold the customer at the heart of everything we do. You will be a key strategic partner in defining how Kingfisher approaches new or emerging Technology and Business opportunities, and you will work to influence and simplify the core capabilities of our business.

  • Act as an inspiring leader, delivering future-state architecture views and finding opportunities where technology can unlock value for our customers and support our North Star vision.
  • Drive innovation and experimentation, tracking emerging technologies and running pilots to integrate the most valuable into business-as-usual operations.
  • Collaborate across the organization, influencing senior collaborators and guiding architecture decisions through forums like design councils and governance boards.
  • Develop and communicate architectural roadmaps and transition plans, ensuring alignment between business ambition, technology capabilities, and investment priorities.

  • Experience building and developing high-performing architecture teams — mentoring, recruiting, and aligning them to business and technology goals through effective operating models and career development.
  • A consistent track record of identifying, evaluating, and applying emerging technologies to deliver innovation, improve business performance, and shape long-term architectural direction.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across senior leadership, technology teams, and external partners to embed architecture in decision-making and transformation delivery.
