E-ACT Bristol Academy South in Bristol seeks an outstanding Head of Spanish to drive excellence in teaching and learning, raise student achievement, and inspire a passion for languages across the academy.

As Head of Spanish, you will provide strategic and day-to-day leadership, developing an engaging curriculum, supporting colleagues, monitoring progression, and ensuring high standards. You will shape outcomes with high expectations and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (or recognised equivalent).
• Degree in subject specialism (Spanish).
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proven track record of high student outcomes.
• Ability to analyse performance data for curriculum planning.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage the Spanish curriculum across the academy, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
• Develop and implement an ambitious curriculum that inspires a love of languages and supports progress.
• Monitor and evaluate student achievement, using data to drive improvement.
• Coach and develop department staff, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Line manage and support members of the Spanish department.
