Job summary

Knight Education is seeking a Head of Spanish for a leading independent school in Cambridgeshire, starting January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. The role is full-time and permanent, reporting to the Head of Modern Foreign Languages.

You will lead the Spanish department, shape curriculum strategy, and contribute to school-wide languages development. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for languages, able to inspire colleagues and pupils,

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Modern Foreign Languages department or similar team.
• Proven track record in strategic curriculum development and school improvement.
• Experience teaching Spanish up to A level and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Spanish department across the School.
• Develop and monitor the Spanish curriculum to ensure high standards of teaching and pupil achievement.
• Collaborate with the Head of Modern Foreign Languages on the overall MFL strategy.
