Senior Recruitment Consultant | Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning & Logistics Expert

Alexander Steele has partnered with a leading apparel business that has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sourcing to provide leadership in all aspects of Global Sourcing and Supply Chain Management including supplier performance management and global market analysis.

On Offer:

• Salary will be circa £80K + Bonus
• 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays
• The role will be based in the Leicestershire area.
• Hybrid remote working (3 days in the office)

Key responsibilities include:

• Development, implementation, and communication of global sourcing strategies to ensure a standard approach across all categories.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure advantageous terms and ensure the continuity of supply.
• Ensure that commercial, yet profitable product ranges are developed and bought, to maximise profit and sales.
• Liaise with Stores, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to develop and maintain professional working relationships, ensuring that sales are maximised in line with the overall strategy.
• Monitor global market trends, identifying impacts on supply and demand, and adjusting strategies to leverage market conditions.

Candidate requirements:

• A degree or similar tertiary qualification in Procurement, Business Management, Fashion or equivalent.
• Demonstrated Buying, Sourcing, Product Range and Category management experience within the apparel/garment industry.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of garment and fabric suppliers processes and capability.
• Experience sourcing and buying products from the Far East.
• People leadership skills and the ability to mentor and coach a dynamic team.
• Project management experience, liaising with innovation and product development teams.
• Good communication skills and the ability to present ideas to a broad range of stakeholders.
