National Highways seeks an experienced Lead SOC Manager to direct the Security Operations Centre, overseeing incident response across IT, OT, personnel and physical security.

You will lead SIEM/SOAR/EDR tooling, coordinate with senior management, and drive continuous improvement. Hybrid role: two days in the office, UK-wide offices, with travel as needed. SC clearance required or willing to obtain; UK residency of five years preferred.

• Set the overall direction for the SOC aligned with government security standards.
• Lead day-to-day delivery of hybrid SOC services: monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence.
• Act as technical security SME and escalation point for major incidents.
• Oversee detection, analysis and resolution of security incidents and breaches; coordinate response.
• Drive security assessments including penetration testing and risk evaluations.
• Mentor Security Analysts and collaborate with GRC, third-party providers, and Legal.
