Job summary

Anaplan is building a formal security architecture practice, and this role leads it. You will turn security architecture into reusable assets—reference architectures, identity patterns, cryptography standards, and AI guardrails—so engineering can adopt them by default.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security architecture across multiple teams in a SaaS or cloud-first setting.
• Strong credibility in identity & authorisation, cryptography, secure-by-design, and threat modelling at scale.
• Hands-on depth to challenge weak designs while remaining technically credible.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and manage a senior architecture team.

Responsibilities

• Define how architecture reviews are conducted and set the bar for security across the platform.
• Drive reusable patterns: reference architectures, identity patterns, cryptography, and AI guardrails.
• Set engineering security principles and maintain clear, usable standards for developers.
• Lead design reviews for major platform and AI changes early to influence outcomes.
• Collaborate with platform engineering on Hyperblock and Polaris surface alignment with architecture.
• Ensure security architecture supports enterprise requirements and regulated environments.
• Codify decisions into policy-as-code to reduce toil and enforce guardrails.
• Build, mentor, and uplift the architecture team to maintain a high technical bar.
