Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Risk Manager - Head of Secure Design to shape secure design across Universal Credit services. You will guide risk-based decisions, manage tactical and strategic risk, and align cyber controls with the broader DWP Digital Security Risk Management function.

The role involves hands-on leadership of the secure design delivery team while collaborating with multiple service teams to implement a robust security strategy for Working Age

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in security and fraud risk management.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders and risk owners.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to security and fraud risk expertise across business managers and senior risk owners.
• Establish and manage the Working Age Services security posture and initiatives to protect information assets.
• Develop, manage and enhance the fraud risk management framework to minimize exposure.
• Oversee security tools implementation and proper use (IDS, vulnerability management, AV, encryption).
• Assess and mitigate plans for existing and emerging threats, vulnerabilities and risks.
• Maintain awareness of information security technologies and fraud risk methodologies.
• Lead security awareness and education programs to sustain vigilance.
