Job summary

Chadwick Nott – South East and Thames Valley is seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance in Southampton. This senior role supports the Director of Risk & Compliance, providing strategic and practical guidance on regulatory and governance matters.

The ideal candidate will have extensive law firm risk experience, strong SRA knowledge, and the confidence to advise stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities include investigations, regulatory change projects, training, audits, and policy development.

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a senior Risk & Compliance professional to join a highly regarded national law firm in a visible leadership role. Supporting the Director of Risk & Compliance, you will provide strategic and practical advice across a broad range of regulatory and governance matters, while helping shape the firm's risk framework and compliance culture.

The successful candidate will bring significant law firm Risk & Compliance experience, strong knowledge of the SRA regulatory framework, and the confidence to advise stakeholders at all levels on complex and sensitive issues. You will play a key role in investigations, regulatory change projects, training, audits and the ongoing development of policies and procedures, while also mentoring and supervising members of the wider team.
