Job summary

Lampton Group is seeking a Head of Procurement to shape and lead the organisation's procurement strategy and governance. You will drive value for money, risk management and supplier performance across a multi‑arm operation, reporting to senior leadership.

You will oversee complex procurements, develop capabilities, and ensure adherence to the Procurement Act 2023 and the PCR 2015 framework. Hybrid working is offered with strategic supplier engagement across the region.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading procurement in a regulated public-sector environment.
• Expert knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and associated regulations.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience of high‑value procurements.
• Understanding of contract law, negotiation, risk management and supplier markets.
• Proven leadership of large-scale programmes and cross‑organisational procurement strategy.
• Ability to balance compliance, innovation and pragmatic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all procurement activity ensuring compliance and value for money.
• Develop and implement a forward-looking procurement strategy.
• Provide expert commercial leadership and robust procurement processes.
• Lead and develop the procurement team for high performance.
• Identify capability gaps and implement training pathways including CIPS.
• Serve as senior advisor on procurement and commercial risk.
• Lead major procurements using appropriate sourcing strategies.
• Monitor performance metrics, savings, cycle times and resilience.
• Ensure compliance with Procurement Act 2023 and governance.
• Develop a robust contract management framework and KPIs.
