Job summary

Castle Trust Bank, a fintech challenger bank specialising in property mortgages, is seeking an experienced Head of Operations for our Property division. The role is based in Basingstoke with hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day at home) and requires strategic leadership across Pre-Completion, Operations and Controls.

You will lead governance, risk, transformation and continuous improvement to deliver exceptional customer outcomes while supporting growth of our Property business.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in regulated lending, banking or financial services.
• Proven track record leading operational teams delivering service quality and customer outcomes.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending and loan servicing end-to-end.
• Experience with operational risk, controls, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead change, process improvement and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead Pre-Completion, Operations and Controls to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Develop high-performing teams through coaching, succession planning and performance management.
• Oversee operational performance, service standards, quality and customer outcomes across the division.
• Manage operational risk and control framework and respond to audits with timely remediation.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and key third‑party suppliers to ensure service and contractual obligations are met.
