Job Description:

Veramed is looking for a Head of Projects and Analytical Solutions to lead and manage approximately 100 professionals, including statisticians, programmers, data managers, and technologists across Europe, India, and North America.

This strategic leadership role focuses on delivering high-quality biometrics and data management services, ensuring operational excellence, and achieving financial targets. You will play a pivotal role in driving growth, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring optimal project delivery in line with organizational goals.

Strong leadership and people management capabilities are essential. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Biostatistics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field, with 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in biostatistics, clinical research, or related life sciences consulting organizations.

Key responsibilities:

P&L Ownership:

  • Full ownership of a profit and loss statement, ensuring revenue management and sustained profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Drive commercial activities with business development and account management teams to win project-based work.
  • Understand client needs, recommend new product and service offerings, and develop go-to-market strategies to drive project-based services.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple regions.
  • Define operational strategies to enable scalable and efficient project delivery.

Client and Account Management:

  • Work closely with Account Managers to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Establish strong relationships with key clients, serving as an executive sponsor when required.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Project Management & Resourcing:

  • Oversee project resourcing to ensure appropriate staffing.
  • Manage projects against margins and timelines, including forecasting for portfolio profitability.
  • Implement best practices for project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
  • Collaborate with Service Line Leads to refine offerings and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ensure service lines meet industry demands and regulatory standards.

Talent Development:

  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
  • Manage recruitment, retention, and succession planning strategies.

Education:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields.

Experience:

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in biostatistics, clinical research, or related consulting.
  • Proven P&L management experience.
  • Experience managing global, cross-functional teams.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and resourcing strategies.
